Kids: Articulated animal phone holders

Well I suppose it was only a matter of time, I'm starting to get surrounded by printed animals..

See what happens when you print out an articulated shark that works right out of the box? Suddenly the demand for animals of a similar nature increases and the next thing you know your miniature army collection slows down dramatically as the Ender V2 finds itself busy with the animal kingdom.

But still, it's a great way to test the new colors of filament that have finally arrived (the place I bought it from sent it immediately, it was the postal system having some rough times at the moment with lockdowns and the like that caused the big delay in arrival.) For my wife I bought some fire engine red, I bought some green and as a test of both, we decided to print some phone holders.

Jack gets a green dog (looking more blue depending on your light source) while Sophie got a red bear. Both can be set to lie down or sit up depending on how you want to set them up.

And when lying down, their true purpose comes into play namely holding phones so the kids don't have to when chatting to their cousins interstate, usually while playing Mineblocks or Rocraft or whatever they do these days, I have no idea. But I do know these holders look very stylish!

Naturally, these are a big hit and would make perfect gifts for friends or relatives when you've got no idea what to get them (or are quite a few days away from payday.) Like the shark, once printed they are good to go and it's amazing to watch the Ender print the mechanisms in one big hit, there's no separate pieces you have to glue or lock in which is very handy when you've got an enthusiastic kid who can't wait to take the finished creation off the printer bed..

WHERE TO GET THEM

Both of them are the amazing work of Kendofuji who has his own Instagram displaying his work as well as plenty of great .stl files to download and print, ready to rock and roll.
