Kid's project: Name sign

Dad:  'Jackson, are you sure you don't want this a bit smaller?'

Jackson: 'Nah, as it is is fine dad..'

Okay then. Five hours later and he's going to find it difficult to forget his own name now...

This is actually Jackson's 2nd go round with printing something from a design he built via Tinkercad and one far more relevant than the first, which was a small sign that read 'Bruh.' Why you'd need such a sign is anyone's guess but it's on his desk now, as is this piece at 18cm long. One day I'm hoping he'll work on something different other than random signs but it's printing baby steps really.

Strangely there's a slight bow to this and at first I thought the edges were lifting only to discover he'd used some kind of contoured shape as the base. Still, he's very happy. Of course he was, he was playing Minecraft for five hours while the Ender V2 buzzed away. Like I mentioned at the top, I did point out how much quicker it would print if we halved the size settings but no, it was to be as he (and the program) had created it. Well okay then.

The various supports either came away easily or needed some effort with a pen knife and I'm happy to report I only broke the top of the A and part of the N but with superglue, no one is the wiser. There was a fair bit of filing though (and still is) but for a quick and dirty project (one minute design time for each hour of printing really) he's more than happy to have it sit like it is.

Oh and for the record, here's his first project right next to the test dog file print the Ender V2 comes with.
I still don't know the why of it but that's 10 year olds for you..
